"Fragrance Behind the Veil" Incense

|The Night Fragrance of Scholars|

Product Type: Coil Incense
Quantity: 20 coils per box
Burn Time: Approx. 2 hours per coil
Ingredients: Agarwood, Mysore sandalwood, goose pear extract (traditional blend)

Product Description

This is the classic night incense of the Tang Dynasty, reborn in long-burning coil form. “Goose Pear Chamber” is a gentle, poetic fragrance first crafted over a thousand years ago for the evening chambers of court scholars and poets. Blended from wild agarwood, aged Mysore sandalwood, and a rare extract of goose pear, it is designed to cool the breath, ease emotional heat, and invite dreams.

In this version, the scent is wound into 20 delicate incense coils, each offering approximately 2 hours of serene, continuous burning—ideal for tea evenings, long reading hours, or late-night calm.

Scent Profile

  • Opening: dewy sweetness, like cold fruit left in moonlight

  • Heart: warm, milky sandalwood, soft and rounding

  • Base: agarwood depth, cool and meditative

This fragrance is not linear—it moves like thought in silence. The longer burn time allows the scent to evolve: cooling, then calming, then almost vanishing into stillness.

The scent of goose pear is not loud.
It is a gentle guest in your room,
speaking softly to your memory,
and to the night.

Our incense is entirely handcrafted — never machine-made. We work exclusively with a family-owned incense atelier that dates back to 1404. This lineage once served the imperial court during the Ming and Qing dynasties, and today remains an official partner of the Palace Museum (The Forbidden City).
Due to the artisanal nature of our incense and the long-distance shipping involved, occasional breakage may occur — a natural trace of its handmade origin. As a gesture of appreciation, we offer a complimentary incense holder with every purchase of stick or coil incense. If you are sensitive to this, we kindly suggest reconsidering before placing your order.
