🍃 Longjing Tea · The King of Chinese Green Tea

History & Legend

“Longjing” is not only the name of the tea, but also the name of a village, a temple, and an ancient well.
It is said that the well connects to the sea, and a dragon lives inside, hence the name “Longjing” (Dragon Well).

Emperor Qianlong visited the Longjing village six times, tasted this tea, and personally inscribed “Longjing Imperial Review”, making Longjing tea famous nationwide and a royal tribute tea.

Pre-Qingming Longjing · Spring Tea Treasure

  • Harvest Time: Only the freshest buds of the year are selected, especially those picked before Qingming Festival, called “Pre-Qingming Longjing”, the rarest and most precious.

  • Processing: Traditionally roasted over firewood and hand-fried by skilled artisans, producing tea leaves that are flat, straight, and tender green.

  • Taste: Refreshing and sweet on the palate, with hints of chestnut and bean aroma—truly the freshest among green teas.

Health & Aesthetics

  • Natural Health Benefits: Rich in tea polyphenols, Longjing is known as a natural antioxidant, helping to refresh, boost metabolism, and even providing anti-cancer benefits.

  • Visual Beauty: The liquor is clear, with greenish-yellow hues, resembling a flowing Chinese ink painting.

🍵 Brewing Methods (use 3g of tea leaves)

Cold Brew
Add room-temperature water and let sit for 4 hours. Low-temperature extraction reduces bitterness and brings out a clean, refreshing flavor.

Direct Ice Brew
Use ice water to steep the tea, then refrigerate for 6 hours. Stronger than cold brew, with the aroma doubled.

Ice Drip Brew
Place ice cubes at the bottom, spread tea leaves in the middle, then cover with more ice. As the ice melts slowly, you’ll get a smooth, rich iced tea.

Hot-to-Cold Brew
Quickly awaken the aroma with 90°C hot water, then top up with cold water and refrigerate for 1 hour. The floral fragrance becomes fuller and more balanced.
